Happy New Year 2025!

(Hopefully. As happy as a new year can get in this day and age, anyway.)

Unfortunately, due to my chronic burnout and inability to coordinate with the voice talents, I don’t have any new episodes for 2024. However, I did implement lots of improvements of varying importance and complexity.

The updates made in 2024

• hai!touch Gate: Fix a bug where Lifesavers weren’t given to remote players if cutscenes were turned off
• Improved how soft hyphens work (mainly for the “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” question)
• Improved on-screen button prompts, so that they accurately reflect the player’s/players’ control schemes
• Amazon Fire TV support
• Implement unique mini music loops for each loading thumbnail
• Accessibility: Added extended typing timer
• Accessibility: Added large subtitle setting
• Added a debug question ID selector (Press ↑↓↑↑↓↓↓↑↑↑↑↑→ to access)
• Added icons/touch targets to sign-up menu’s “show/hide room code” and “read room code” menu items
• Made interactions consistent with the Save/Back buttons in the menus (Options and Save Data screen)
• Removed “Powered by Godot Engine” splash screen
• Added “preload all questions” button in title screen
• Accessibility: Added extended & infinite question timer
• hai!touch Gate: Fixed page sizing so that the Lifesaver button is always on screen
• Fixed touchscreen button injections that broke because of Amazon Fire TV support, oops
• Fixed broken link in “fatal error” screen
• Sorta Kinda answer commentary support
