CROSSNIQ is an indie puzzle game where you match up colored tiles in “crosses“: i.e. intersecting rows and columns of the same color. This is an interpretation of that game in a pseudo-NES style.

Default controls are as follows, but can be remapped:

Virtual button
P1 keyboardP2 keyboard
A (select)
X (Enter in menu)
Numpad 7B (right)
B (unused)
Z (Esc in menu)Numpad 9A (bottom)
UpUpNumpad 8D-Pad up
DownDownNumpad 2D-Pad down
LeftLeftNumpad 4D-Pad left
RightRightNumpad 6D-Pad right
Start (pause)EscNumpad MinusStart
Select (unused)

Note for game jam: Does not explicitly follow the optional theme “Side-effects” (although you can argue that the mechanic of moving the entire row or column, instead of moving one tile at once, fits the theme).
